Miss Camille's Company Routines

Hi Everybody!

Whoo our first blog! This is exciting. I'll just jump right in.

At our parent meeting today, we discussed how many possible routines you would consider for your child to participate in. Here, in this blog, I'll be listing a sort of rough draft of routines with song names, styles, and levels. I'll be able to post specifically who I would like to have in these routines after we meet on Wednesday.

Please note that these are group routines only

1. "Africa" - Jazz - All levels (production)

2. "America" - Dance Theater - All levels

3. "The Art Book" - Contemporary - All levels

4. "Rubber Duckie" - Jazz - Levels I & II

5. "Light 'Em Up" - Jazz - Level III

6. "We Came To Smash" - Jazz - Juniors

7. "Why Don't You Love Me" - Jazz - Seniors

8. "A Better Place" - Contemporary - Levels I, II, and III (some Juniors and/or Seniors may be selected)

9. "My Body Is a Cage" - Contemporary - Juniors & Senior

10. TBA - Tap - Levels II & III

11. "Cups" - Tap - Juniors & Seniors

That's all I have at the moment! However, in a few more moments I may have more ideas.

Miss Sarah will give us her plan for her routines after Wednesday classes.

Please remember no one is absolutely tied to these routines. I hope to make them work, but some of them may not, and we may have to wait until another time to perform them, which is fine by me.
The number one routine I feel we MUST have is "The Art Book", which will be our "big" routine this year. It's our first "big" routine with everyone invited to participate, so I'm really hoping it works out for us to be able to compete it. It will be a challenging routine for all the dancers, so if your child is really hesitant or anxious about competing a contemporary, particularly this one routine, please come see me and we can work something out; she could possibly become an alternate if need be.

Hope I didn't overwhelm you all with our first blog! Maybe go have a bite of chocolate...?

Thanks again parents! (and dancers)

-Camille
